wire presents Local Action with DJ Q B2B Finn, 96 Back & Eleanor

Before the decision was taken to cease operating our sister club Wire earlier this year, we had been working on this special label event with Local Action boss and UK underground music encyclopaedia Tom Lea (go listen to his brilliant No Tags podcast!) With a back catalogue and artist roster that is the envy of any independent label we didn’t want such a good thing to go to waste, so we decided to bring the party to our newly refurbished sister venue Hifi.

2 B Real label co-founder Finn will be joined behind the decks by Yorkshire’s very own DJ Q for a B2B that will touch on everything that makes the north go wild: steppers, groovers, stompers and of course plenty of wobblers – this combo know what is required around here!

A regular patron and good friend of many people involved at Wire over the years, Evan was an important part of putting this party together. 96 Back played one of our favourite sets ever in Wire when he closed the reopening weekend after Covid!

Running Local Action’s sibling label Clasico, Eleanor has had a hand in releasing some of 2024’s most cutting edge club music. We are eager to hear what’s to come in 2025 and beyond!
