Will Sebag-Montefiore & Georgie Jones: Where there’s a Will there’s a Georgie

Friday 12 July 2024

Will Sebag-Montefiore is a satirist who turns the news into sketches and songs and is creating his first solo show ‘Will of the People’. Georgie Jones is a poet and performer working on a brand new show about how to stay hopeful. Join them for a night of comedy and spoken word poetry.

They are sharing a night because they both share a deep love of both maize based snacks and being the centre of attention. Also because their style is nice and fun and cute. You should come!

You may know Will from the audbile remake of Green Wing, from wearing a wig in Poldark or from his regular appearances on Rosie Holt’s Noncensored podcast. You may know Georgie from her 130k followers and over 5.8 million views online. Her work has been shared by Malorie Blackman, Adrian Lester and British pop-rock band Bastille who said her poetry was ‘fucking brilliant’. Clang.

They are also both members of sketch comedy Just These Please who have amassed over 65 million views online, were nominated for a Chortle award and spent last year touring the seven seas (well, 2 of them but you get it, they did a show on a ship).

Doors open at 6:30pm with the show starting at 7:30pm. All ticket holders will need to arrive at the venue no later than 7:15pm to facilitate us getting you seated and served in good time. PLEASE NOTE that any arrivals after this time may have to wait until the next available interval to be allowed into the venue.

We do warn all customers in advance that we do not operate a seating reservation system for when you arrive at The HiFi Club. Seating is allocated on a first come first served basis, so please try to arrive at the venue for 6.30pm in order to guarantee yourselves a good seat.

Attendees are here to see the performances, so please respect your fellow customers by keeping conversation noise levels to a minimum. Repeated disturbances may result in your ejection from the venue. Fancy dress is not permitted.

At the discretion of management and security of The HiFi Club, same sex groups of 5 or more may be asked for a behavioural bond of £10 per person upon entry to ensure the smooth running of the comedy show. This behavioural bond will be returned at the end of the show as long as the rules of the venue have been adhered to.
