Comedy Unleashed with Alistair Williams & Guests

Alongside Alistair Williams will be JoJo Sutherland, Bruce Devlin and Mary Bourke.

Having consistently sold out shows in London for the past 5 years, Comedy Unleashed brings more of its refreshing brand of stand-up comedy to The HiFi Club in Leeds.

Unleashed nights showcase comedians who have a spirit of exploration, are counter-cultural and eschew the bland and predictable. And, if a comedian gets cancelled, we like to put them on. The audience should be the only judge and if something is funny… it’s funny. Here’s a video from the London club

Alistair Williams
Excluded from most comedy clubs and banned from YouTube, Alistair Williams is utterly counter-cultural and bloody hilarious. Alistair did a gig at the Leeds club recently and we were inundated with requests to put him on again. He will be doing fresh material

JoJo Sutherland
British Comedian of the Year 2022 Finalist & Scottish Comedy Awards 2019 Winner – Best Festival Show

Bruce Devlin
Bruce is an acerbic Scottish comedian and will be our MC for the evening. “Devlin’s super charged introductions could make Richard Pryor look like a slow starter” Bruce hosted the “Cancelled” Comedy Unleashed show outside the Scottish Parliament during the Edinburgh Fringe.

Mary Bourke
When asked by a New York Times reporter if she “was afraid of destroying her career” with her closing routine, Mary laughed. Mary has the fearlessness of the Irish and likes to puncture middle-class sensibilities with her deadpan humour.

Doors: 6:30pm until 10:00pm with the first comedian onstage at 7:30pm. Please arrive at the venue by 7:00pm so you can get a drink and get sat down before the first act. If you turn up after 7:00pm you may have to wait until the next available interval to be allowed in.

Tickets are sold for the Comedy Night as an event and not for individual comedians. Line-ups are subject to change. All acts are confirmed at time of booking. Occasionally, acts may be replaced for reasons beyond our control. If this happens the act will be replaced with a suitable alternative. We do our best to keep the listings (on our calendar page) as up to date as feasibly possible with the current situation. Fancy dress is not permitted. At the discretion of management and security of The HiFi Club, same sex groups of 5 or more may be asked for a behavioural bond of £10 per person upon entry to ensure the smooth running of the comedy show. This behavioural bond will be returned at the end of the show as long as the rules of the venue have been adhered to.
